Jonathan MillerSir Jonathan Miller, CBE, is a British physician, theatre and opera director and television writer and producer. In 1960 he helped found the comedy troupe Beyond the Fringe at the Edinburgh Festival. In the 1970s, he started directing and producing operas, beginning with a new production of “The Marriage of Figaro” for English National Opera in 1978. In the early 1980s he started to produce a number of noteworthy series for the BBC: a series of 12 Shakespeare plays; “The Body in Question;” and “Jonathan Miller’s Brief History of Disbelief.” Miller is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in London and Edinburgh, and a Foreign Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He was knighted in 2002.
