The Initiative Program is earmarked by the Center specifically for associate professors, who perform a large share of teaching and committee work but rarely have resources delegated only to them. The program is supported by the Chancellor, the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, and the Dean of Arts and Humanities. The program enables up to five associate professors to devote the spring term to a research project of their choosing.
