Contemporary Art

The Working Group in Contemporary Art establishes an intimate forum that fosters conversation and information sharing among faculty, curators, students and artists. In the past two years, the Working Group has organized lectures by Berkeley faculty, postdocs, curators and artists. During the 2011-2012 academic year, the group will host a series of bimonthly meetings, with one meeting featuring a presentation on contemporary art by a Berkeley graduate student, and the other meeting following the traditional format of a lecture by a faculty member, curator, or artist.
