Shuddering — hairs raising along the neck — chills shivering down the spine. Horror, fear, and anxiety have a long literary and philosophical lineage, but they deserve special critical attention in our age of precarity and crisis. This interdisciplinary working group investigates representations and theories of shudder-inducing affects in film, literature, etc.
