At the center of The Art of Writing program is a series of undergraduate seminars in which 10-12 students, a Berkeley faculty member, and a graduate student instructor come together to form a collaborative and intimate intellectual writing community. Six classes have already been added in departments across the campus from Architecture and Civil and Environment Engineering to Anthropology, History, and English. The Art of Writing is also developing a Summer Writing Institute for doctoral students and a lecture series to bring to campus renowned writers from across the globe to talk about their craft.
