Aimee Chang is director of engagement at the UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive. Since 2010 she has also been a curatorial consultant with Asian Arts Initiative in Philadelphia, working to create a social practice laboratory in the Chinatown and North Chinatown neighborhoods. Prior to moving back to Berkeley, Chang worked as an educator and curator at the Blanton Museum at the University if Texas, Austin; at the Hammer Museum at UCLA; and at the Orange County Museum of Art. Her areas of interest include the shifting identity of museums, public practice, social practice, university and museum partnerships, participatory museum models, new media, and new modes of audience engagement.
