Translating the Mediterranean Conference

This one-day conference will explore the foundation of Mediterranean culture and discuss translation as both a social and a literary practice.

 

 

Panel I: Translators and Translations
Speakers include David Wacks (University of Oregon), M. Dascha Inciarte (National Hispanic University), Claire Gilbert (UCLA), and Baki Tezcan (UC Davis).

Panel II: Expanding Horizons
Speakers include Christine Chism (UCLA), Daniel Selden (UCSC), and Michelle Hamilton (University of Minnesota).

Panel III: Problems & Contexts
Speakers include Siobhan McElduff (University of British Columbia), Peter Cowe (UCLA), and Zrinka Stahuljak (UCLA).
