Amanda Dennis received her A.B. in Comparative Literature from Princeton University, M.Phil. in European Literature and Culture from the University of Cambridge, Trinity College, and Ph.D. from UC Berkeley’s Department of Rhetoric. Her dissertation explored how Merleau-Ponty’s theories about the relationship between a physical body and its surrounding space operate in Samuel Beckett’s literary and dramatic texts. Ms. Dennis has published on aesthetics and European modernism. Before becoming an IE-Postdoctoral Teaching fellow, she taught courses at universities in Thailand, the United Kingdom, and France.
