Los Angeles Review of Books Publishing Workshop

Graduate students in the humanities and humanistic social sciences are invited to apply to attend the Los Angeles Review of Books (LARB) Summer Publishing Workshop

The workshop is an intensive summer training program for aspiring publishing professionals that takes place remotely from June 24 - July 26, 2024. Students who attend the workshop can expect to learn best practices in the publishing industry and to make contacts at institutions like the LARB, and receive guidance on resumes, cover letters, and networking skills. 

The LARB, Townsend Center for the Humanities, and Graduate Division will provide up to four full-tuition scholarships for UC Berkeley graduate students to attend the workshop.

Information sessions for the workshop featuring alumni fellows will be held on March 7, 2024 at 12 pm, and March 14, 2024 at 5 pm via Zoom.

 

Eligibility

UC Berkeley PhD students in the humanities and humanistic social sciences.

Grant Provision

Tuition for the workshop is $3000. The LARB, Townsend Center for the Humanities, and Graduate Division will provide up to four full-tuition scholarships. All eligible students who submit an application to LARB before the deadline will be considered for one of the four scholarships.
