Clarice Lispector, "Brazil's Kafka"
Katrina Dodson (doctoral student, Comparative Literature) reads two Clarice Lispector short stories in their entirety — the fable-like "A Chicken" and the intricate "The Smallest Woman in the World" — and reflects on how she tried to render Lispector's very special Portuguese in the English language. She is joined by Scott Saul (English).
