The Art Histories of South and Southeast Asia working group encourages critique and conversation on art historical paradigms across a wide range of scholarship. Arts, objects, and materials demand specific scholarly approaches. Working across departments and disciplines, this group comes together in order to consider how materiality, authorship, aesthetics, and power function through art within a society.
