The Found in Translation (FIT) working group welcomes a diverse group of members from the campus community — undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff, program administrators, and visiting scholars — interested in a wide range of topics related to language. The group hosts a series of guest lectures, ranging from formal presentations to works-in-progress or informal discussions of data, that cover such topics as language and identity, instruction in language and culture, multilingualism, language policies, linguistic landscapes and the presence of minority languages in public space, and language contact, among others.
