Demystifying the Book Publishing Process & Connecting with UC Colleagues

Online Workshop
-

In this online workshop, UC Press editors offer insight into the academic book publishing process. Topics include choosing the right publisher, preparing a book proposal, understanding the peer review and editorial committee processes, revising your manuscript, and working with publishers to promote your book.

Following the presentation, participants join breakout rooms with editors, based on fields of interest.

The workshop is also an opportunity to connect with faculty and graduate students from across the UC system who share similar intellectual interests.

Beth Digeser (Chair of UC Press Editorial Committee)
Niels Hooper (History, American Studies, Middle East Studies)
Reed Malcolm (Asian Studies, Open Access)
Kate Marshall (Anthropology, Food Studies, Latin American Studies)
