Didier Fassin
Berkeley Human Rights Seminar
Geballe Room, 220 Stephens Hall

The Human Rights Seminar invites distinguished scholars across disciplines to present their recent research. Hosting several lectures and a book roundtable each semester, the seminar brings these scholars into conversation with the Berkeley community. The theme for the 2013-14 seminar lectures is “Visual Culture and Human Rights.”

This roundtable features Didier Fassin (Institute for Advanced Study) discussing his book Humanitarian Reason: A Moral History of the Present (UC Press, 2011) in conversation with UC Berkeley faculty members.

Presented by the Human Rights Program and The Townsend Center for the Humanities.
