A Return to Freud? New Histories of Psychoanalysis
What might the study of psychoanalysis in and for the 21st century look like? Gathering on the centennial of the publication of Freud’s own “Autobiographical Study" (1925), forty scholars, artists, and clinicians explore the idea of a “return to Freud” by addressing psychoanalysis now — and taking its legacies seriously. The symposium brings together a diverse, interdisciplinary group of participants engaged in the project of renewing psychoanalysis for the present day. The symposium features panels, roundtables, public-facing conversations, and an evening film program.
