Julia McAnallen received a B.S.E in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences from the University of Michigan and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Slavic Linguistics from UC Berkeley. Her dissertation considered possessive forms in Slavic linguistics. In addition to publishing studies on the Slavic possessive, she has written and co-written articles on linguistic gender and word order. Before becoming an IE-Berkeley International Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow, she held a Fulbright Dissertation Research Fellowship at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow.  She is currently the Graduate Career Services Coordinator at Michigan State University.
