Townsend Fellows 2026-27

The Townsend Fellowships program supports the research of faculty, advanced graduate students, and other research professionals at UC Berkeley. The purpose of the Fellowship is to further the research of the individual recipients and to enable faculty and graduate students within the humanities to meet and work with colleagues in other disciplines and departments. The Fellows program receives core funding from the Townsend Endowment. Graduate student support is also provided by the Irving and Jean Stone Fellowship, the Albert Lepawsky Memorial Fund, the Norman Jacobson Memorial Fund, the Jeffrey Berg Fellowship, and the Una’s Gift Fund.
